Sasha Malik
Sasha Malik is a fall intern at Constantinople & Vallone Consulting, where she focuses on policy research and legislative affairs across sectors, including energy storage, urban sustainability initiatives, and civic engagement initiatives.
Sasha is a current senior at Union College, pursuing a B.A. in Environmental Policy and Political Science. She serves as Co-President of Pi Sigma Alpha, the national political science honor society, where she works to engage students in current political issues and promote civic participation on campus.
Before joining C&V, Sasha gained experience in both the public and private sectors through a range of sustainability and environmental initiatives. At NineDot Energy, she explored the energy storage market, contributing to projects on interconnection planning and bidirectional tariff solutions. She also interned with the Connecticut Roundtable on Climate and Jobs, supporting programs such as electric bus implementation, environmental grant research, and community sustainability initiatives. Sasha’s advocacy experience began with the New York League of Conservation Voters, where she advanced pro-environment legislative goals and participated in lobby days, including Albany Earth Day. She later worked with the Cornell Cooperative Extension of Schenectady County, promoting community education and engagement around local environmental issues. Earlier in her career, Sasha interned at the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP), contributing to a digitalization initiative aimed at improving public transparency around environmental degradation and contamination in the state. Sasha is passionate about developing sustainable policy solutions that advance climate resilience and environmental justice, particularly in urban settings like New York City and beyond."
