Pirum Ung

Pirum Ung is a fall intern at Constantinople & Vallone Consulting, where he focuses on policy research and legislative affairs across several sectors, including real estate, construction, and engineering.

Pirum is a current senior at New York University, pursuing an Honors B.A. in politics with a minor in public policy. He is a Dr. Charles Barbiere Research Scholar, an inaugural NYU Berkley Institute Fellow, and an NYU Model UN travel team member. His research focuses on local executive power and its relationship with accountability and corruption. At the Berkley Institute, Pirum works to bridge ideological divides and reduce partisanship by engaging with other fellows from a diverse range of perspectives, backgrounds, and political affiliations.

Before joining C&V, Pirum gained considerable experience across the public and private sectors at the local, state, and federal levels. He previously interned at government relations firm Kasirer in its real estate department, helping firms navigate the ULURP rezoning process by identifying community partners and stakeholders and monitoring local and state policy developments. Pirum also worked as a consultant for Karis Consulting Group, advocating and fundraising for AAPI political candidates across the United States. In Washington, DC, he interned for Congresswoman Grace Meng, helping to allocate Community Project Funding resources to Queens-based public services and organizations while conducting legislative research and community outreach. Pirum has also worked for the Legal Aid Society, NYC Law Department, NYC Civil Court, and Manhattan Borough President’s Office. Prior to coming to New York, Pirum was a Civilian Ambassador in the US State Department’s inaugural FLEX Abroad Program, living in Tbilisi, Republic of Georgia.
